Our Parent Organization

    The American Red Cross is a humanitarian organization, which helps people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies. The mission of the Red Cross is to prevent and alleviate human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors. It does this through services consistent with its congressional charter and the fundamental principles of the International Red Cross Movement. These services are Disaster Response and Relief, Health and Safety, Blood Services, Service to the Armed Forces, and International Services.

What do we do throughout the year?

    Throughout the year, we coordinate and run several blood drives, teach CPR certification classes, host clothing drives for charity, have baking or donut sales to raise funds for the Red Cross, and participate in National Red Cross events like Sound the Alarm!

How do I become a member?

    You can become a member by emailing arcucsocials@gmail.com your email to join our Slack group (our main method of communication) and/or by joining our . Everyone is welcome! Meetings are every other week (see Calendar). To remain an active member, you must attend 2 out of the 4 meetings per quarter and participate in at least two events per quarter.
